Who is it for?
If the purpose of your trip to Russia is to visit friends or relatives, you can apply for a private visa. This type of visa allows you to stay in the Russian Federation for up to 90 days and can be valid for single or double entry.
Please note: You should first obtain an official invitation and only then apply for a Private visa. To obtain such an invitation your relatives or friends will need to present a photocopy of your passport and personal data to the local branch of the MI in Russia. Russian Consulates accept only original OVIR invitations (obtaining an OVIR invitation take up to 6 weeks!).
What do we offer:
In order to process your Russian Private Visa Application we will require the following:
- Completed and signed visa application form (which must be completed online and can be downloaded here)
- 1 recent passport photo (must comply with UK Passport Agency regulations)
- Passport (in good condition, with at least 2 adjacent blank pages and valid for 6 months after return from Russia)
- Letter of invitation (original; you will need to enter information from your invitation onto the application form. Please feel free to email us your invitation and we can confirm the information you require.)

- We will return your passport by Royal Mail Special Next Day Delivery or will prepare it for collection as you require.
- Please remember to include a note of your daytime contact number and indicate the return address your passport and visa should be delivered to.
