Group Visas
You can apply for a visa to Russia up to 5 months in advance. We recommend that you send your documents to us as early as possible and that all applications are sent at least 3 weeks before your travel date, otherwise express processing charges may apply.
Visa requirements are subject to change at short notice so we recommend that you contact us before you begin preparing your visa application documents to confirm the most up to date requirements. We will then be able to provide you with full instructions for completing the online visa application forms and documents required.
In the meatime, please see below some general information on the application process. At this stage we recommend that you:
- confirm that all applicants will have 6 months validity on their passport beyond their return from Russia
- check that all applications are applying with UK passports and let us know if there are any non-UK citizens applying so we can confirm any additional requirements
General Visa Information
The most difficult part of the application process is completing the online application forms. It is vital that these are completed correctly to avoid any problems and the Consulate are very specific about how they should be completed. As mentioned above we can provide you with detailed instructions for completing the online application form. Please contact us for details.
Once you have completed the online form you will be able to download/print the application form in PDF format. We would recommend that the group leader completes a form first to get an idea of how it works and so they can then advise others. We would be happy to check the completed form to confirm if all is ok before anyone else starts completing.
It is up to you whether you want to get all the applicants together to complete the form or if you get them to do it themselves individually. If the latter is the case please feel free to provide our contact details so they can call us directly if they have any questions about the form.
To submit the visa applications we will require the following from each applicant:
- Completed and signed visa application form
- Recent passport photo (should comply with UKPA regulations, must be colour photo 3cm x 4cm on plain white background)
- Passport (all passports must be in good condition, with at least 2 blank pages and valid for 6 months after return from Russia)
If any members of your group are under 18, we will also require a letter confirming that you have received parental permission for them to travel with you to Russia (we can provide a template for this). We will require an original letter and all names of the pupils must be listed on the letter exactly as they appear in the passport.
Please note that these are the requirements for UK citizens. If any of the students (or staff) do not have UK passports, please advise as soon as possible so we can confirm additional documentation required.
