Additional Requirements for Minors (under 16′s)
For all children under 16 applying for a visa to Russia additional documentation may be required. The details listed below are intended as a guide only and are subject to change. We recommend that you contact us for the most up to date information before sending us your application documents.

Child travelling with mother but without father (if applying for visa at same time as mother)
- Clear copy of the fathers passport
- Letter from the father confirming who child will be travelling with and that he is happy for this to happen. Letter should be signed by a UK solicitor.
- Birth certificate for the child (confirming parents names)
Child travelling with father but without mother (if applying for visa at same time as father)
- No additional requirements
If the child is travelling with mother (only) but applying for the visa at a different time
- Clear copy of the father’s passport
- Letter from the father confirming who child will be travelling with and that he is happy for this to happen. Letter
- should be signed by a UK solicitor
- Birth certificate for the child (confirming parent’s names)
- Clear copy of the mother’s passport (if she is Russian) or passport and visa (if she is non-Russian)
If the child is travelling with father (only) but applying for the visa at a different time
- Clear copy of the father’s passport (if he is Russian) or passport and visa (if he is non-Russian)
Child travelling without either parent
- Clear copy of the fathers passport
- Letter from the father confirming who his child will be travelling with and that he is happy for this to happen. Letter should be signed by a UK solicitor
- Birth certificate for the child (confirming parent’s names)
- Copy of the passport (if Russian national) or passport and visa (if non-Russian national) of the person the child will travel to Russia with
Child travelling with school/youth group
- letter from the school/organisation which is organising the trip confirming the names of all children travelling and that they have obtained parental permission from the parents of all the children to take them to Russia. Names must be listed exactly as appear on the passport.
